It has been reported that NBC may make its upcoming streaming service Peacock free for all subscribers.
The move would be a departure from the model seen with other prominent streaming services on the market.
It would involve Peacock being available as an ad-supported service, with an ad-free product also available for a price.
The information has come from anonymous sources, who have also said there could be multiple tiers of Peacock available for Comcast customers and other pay TV subscribers.
Such a move would possibly result in Peacock becoming the biggest AVOD – or advertising video on demand – service.
