The cast of Marvel’s Falcon and Winter Soldier series has received an update as Carl Lumbly has been signed up.
According to Deadline, Lumbly – known for playing M’yrnn J’onzz on DC’s Supergirl – is joining in a role which has not been confirmed.
The publication speculates that the actor could be playing Isaiah Bradley, a character who underwent a Super-Soldier program similar to that of Captain America.
The comics sees Isaiah become an icon for African-Americans and receive visits from figures such as Malcom X, Muhammad Ali and Nelson Mandela.
Falcon and Winter Soldier is part of MCU’s phase 4. It will make its debut on streaming service Disney Plus in August 2020.
