Disney+ subscribers have been most excited to watch new Star Wars series The Mandalorian, and now new data has revealed that it’s beaten out Stranger Things and taken the top slot as most popular first-week streaming release.
Although only a few episodes have been released so far, a pattern has emerged whereby new episodes drop every Friday and the show subsequently trends on Twitter as people discuss the latest plot developments.
Forbes has reported that Parrot Analytics data shows The Mandalorian’s demand in its first week was a staggering 69.8% higher than Stranger Things’ second season when it first came out.
Season two of The Mandalorian is already in progress, and for now weekly episodes are available for those residing in America, Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico.
Those in the UK and Europe will need to wait until March 2020 and beyond to gain access to the new streaming service.
