Even though season 3 of the highly popular CBS series Star Trek Discovery is currently airing on the network for US viewers, we already know that a fourth instalment will be winging its way to us.
Here we have broken down everything you need to know about the upcoming release, from spoilers and cast to episode recaps and filming locations.
When will season 4 of Star Trek Discovery come out on CBS?
There is no official release date just yet, but we can make some educated guesses. For example, the season four announcement video revealed that filming would commence on November 20. As the previous season landed on October 15, we could guess a similar release date will materialise for season 4 in 2021.
Will there be another season of Star Trek Discovery?
If the third and fourth seasons do well, it could be the case that CBS decides to continue with the show. After all, the Star Wars franchise is pretty extensive, so this branch could follow suit!
Season 4 spoilers and fan theories
There are not currently any spoilers for the fourth season, as we are not even in the third season properly yet! However, we will share recaps of season 3 episodes and as the season comes to an end, we will have more idea of what to expect in the next round of episodes.
Star Trek Discovery season 4 cast
It can be difficult right now to guess who will be in season 4, as season 3 episodes are currently airing and it’s in the early stages – so who knows what could happen to the characters? However, here are the main people in season 3:
- Sonequa Martin-Green – Michael Burnham
- Doug Jones – Saru
- Anthony Rapp – Paul Stamets
- Mary Wiseman – Sylvia Tilly
- Wilson Cruz – Hugh Culber
- David Ajala – Cleveland ‘Book’ Booker
Is there a trailer for season 4?
There is not yet a trailer for the season 4 instalment, as filming is not underway until next month. However, the trailer for season 3 dropped a month before the new season came out, and so we may expect a similar pattern for the next one.
