This weekend there is a treat in store for fans of A Discovery of Witches, as season 2 is making its debut on Sundance Now and Shudder.
Starting from January 9, new episodes will be airing weekly – which follows the pattern from the first season of the show.
Both the eight episodes from this season, and the previous instalment, take their inspiration from the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness.
The supernatural show followed Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) in season one, as the witch and historian took on the secrets behind a bewitched manuscript.
Both she and her vampire partner Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode) end up needing to battle various evil spirits and demons to keep the book protected.
