There are few people who don’t know about Bosch, the TV series which streams on Amazon Prime Video, but the seventh season is set to be the final one.
The series focuses on LA police detective Harry Bosch, who is played by Titus Welliver. Michael Connelly wrote a series of novels which the show is based on.
It first came out back in 2014, and season six made its debut on Amazon Prime Video in April 2020. However, two months prior, it was revealed that the next season would be the final one.
The most recent season is inspired by Connelly’s novels The Overlook and Dark Sacred Night, and due to its high approval ratings on aggregator sites, fans have been confused as to why Amazon Prime Video is shutting it down.
According to Deadline, Connelly said that he was behind the creative decision to close down Bosch. He commented: ‘I’m proud of what we have accomplished with Bosch and look forward to completing the story in season seven.
‘It’s bittersweet, but all good things come to an end, and I am happy that we will be able to go out the way we want to.’
As for the upcoming season, it will be based on the novels The Concrete Blonde and The Burning Room, with two different murder investigations going on.
