Netflix series Lucifer has been one of the most popular shows around for a while, and now rumour has it the story won’t be over quite yet.
According to TVLine, Netflix is in talks with Warner Bros to discuss the possibility of extending the show for a sixth season.
The series is based on the original devil, who leaves his residence in Hell to spend time in Los Angeles and run a nightclub.
The characters of this show were created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg. The story was picked up by Netflix in 2018 after it had run for three seasons on Fox.
Tom Ellis plays the lead character of Lucifer Morningstar, who said about the show’s popularity: ‘I just wasn’t ready for this tsunami of love that came with it.’
The fourth season of the show was released in May 2019, and it was renewed a month later for a fifth season comprising 16 episodes.
