Disney+ is a very new streaming service, so it’s to be expected that some humorous features will come up as subscribers navigate the system.
Fans have created a new game where they make the recommendations page look like a slots machine, as customised recommendations can often include the same few features at the moment.
This is simply because there isn’t a lot of content on the platform right now, but this is leading to subscribers being recommended The Mandalorian left, right and centre.
The algorithm on Disney Plus seems to favour recommending Disney+ Originals, and with limited content available in that category at the moment, the new Star Wars series is a prime contender.
There are plenty of plans for new original content, such as fresh Star Wars titles, Marvel Studios/Marvel Cinematic Universe series and a number of Disney+ Originals in the coming months.
