One of the most popular channels around, and known for its cult fan bases which emerge around the shows it puts out, The CW is a TV network operated by The CW Network – a venture which came about as the result of a partnership between ViacomCBS and AT&T. The subsidiary of WarnerMedia was the owner of The WB, and the name The CW comes from the letters of the two parent company names – CBS and Warner Bros. 

This channel has been around since 2006, and the two which came before it are UPN and The WB. Its slogan is Dare to Defy, and its content is shown in 1080p – although this may be downscaled to 720p in some regions and markets.
