Following on from Comic-Con@Home, as well as the fan-organized Justice Con, DC are hosting their own virtual convention.

DC FanDome will be a free, completely virtual 24 hour event. It will be split into six different virtual ‘halls’ – Hall of Heroes, DC WatchVerse, DC InsiderVerse, DC YouVerse, DC FunVerse and DC KidsVerse.

The first official trailer for the event was released yesterday (August 5th), which you can watch on YouTube. Though the trailer was only 50 seconds long and didn’t give away all that much, it promised ‘DC’s biggest names’ and ‘exclusive reveals’. Clips of Harley Quinn, The Flash, the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 and the ‘Snyder Cut’ of Justice League were included in the teaser.

We already know from Justice Con that there will be some huge Snyder Cut reveals at FanDome – namely, whether it will be split into a miniseries or will be a single, extra-long film, and the unveiling of the official title. There will also be a trailer.

We’ll also be treated to a first look at James Gunn’s upcoming The Suicide Squad (the official title treatment was released yesterday).

DC also promise the ‘unprecedented opportunity to hear from the casts and creators behind your favorite feature films and TV series’, with a list including The Batman, Aquaman, Black Adam, DC’s Stargirl, Harley Quinn, Watchmen, Titans, Young Justice and more. Expect video games and comics reveals too.

FanDome will take place on August 22nd at 1pm ET and will run for 24 hours at no cost. You’ll be able to check it out at the FanDome official website. In the meantime, you can stream DC movies on HBO Max with a 7 day free trial.
