Fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of new streaming service Disney+ on November 12, where the media giant will become the hub for thousands of new and original TV series and movies.

With a huge library of classic Disney movies, plus new titles such as Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian, subscribers will be spoilt for choice. However, there is even more good news, as Disney has confirmed that The Simpsons will be available on the service from the date of its launch.

The platform shared an animated video on Instagram which revealed the Simpson characters dressed up in various costumes. Maggie can be seen as Yoda, Marge is Bo Peep from Toy Story, Lisa sits on an ice throne as Elsa from Frozen and Homer has squished himself into an Iron Man costume.

Bart is reluctant to put on his Mickey Mouse costume, but after a threat from his father he does as he’s told – but not without pulling his trousers down first.

In March 2019, Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in a huge deal worth $71.3 billion, which means that The Simpsons can be uploaded to the Disney+ streaming platform. Similarly, classic Fox titles such as Home Alone and Never Been Kissed will also be coming to the service.
