As those who signed up for Disney Plus will know, getting there may have been a bit of a struggle due to the technical glitch which came into play within a few hours of the service going live.

One of the key features – the ‘continue watching’ button – was also subject to technical issues, which resulted in engineers taking it offline for a while as they fixed it.

Now the feature is fixed, it works cross platform. This means that, if you started watching The Mandalorian on your TV, you can now pause it and resume viewing it on your mobile device if you so wish.

The Disney Plus interface will show the ‘Continue Watching’ tab as a new row underneath the originals. What’s more, the update won’t require a new app download, as it is being implemented on the server side.

At the recent Code Media conference, chairman of Disney’s Direct to Consumer and International division Kevin Mayer said that the feature had been temporarily disabled alongside other features while engineers worked on fixes.

He also stated that the issues with the streaming service immediately following initial launch ‘had to do with the way we architected the app’.
