Quibi is becoming known for featuring an enviable slate of celebrities ahead of its launch, and now they can add rapper Drake to its list.

New series 48 Laws of Power will feature an episode executive produced and directed by Drake as his production company Dreamcrew and Anonymous have partnered with the platform.

The series is based on the novel from Robert Greene, which has sold over 2 million copies. It focuses on people in power over 3,000 years, with 48 ‘laws’ in place to keep it.

Co-producer Adel ‘Future’ Nur said: ‘When Drake and I sat down with Robert Greene, it was incredibly inspiring. The laws allow for a wide range of dynamic storytelling. Quibi allows us to tell these stories in bite-sized chapters similar to the book’.

Drake previously produced the series Euphoria for HBO. Meanwhile, Quibi will feature 175 original series in short form over the course of its first year.
