Previously, sports fans were stoked to see the Premier League on Amazon Prime Video, but now it looks like another section of live events are heading to the platform.

Reports from the Financial Times reveal that Amazon is currently in discussions with Formula 1 so they can bring some races to its streaming service.

From Formula 1’s point of view, the introduction of coverage on Prime Video is aimed towards targeting younger viewers who prefer streaming instead of more traditional TV options.

It has been predicted that a potential deal with Formula 1 could cost Amazon over $250 million per year, based on deals with other providers.

Prime Video has been working hard to provide various live sports events on its platform, with one of its last efforts being a partnership with the NFL to provide Thursday Night Football games for subscribers.
