It has been reported that a new Star Wars movie is on the horizon. Sleight director J.D. Dillard is said to be set for the director role.
The news, as unveiled by The Hollywood Reporter, doesn’t specify whether the film will have a theatrical release only or debut on streaming service Disney Plus.
There are also reportedly no plot details at present, but we do know writer Matt Owens is on board – known for his work on Luke Cage.
There are rumours that the film’s events will be set on the hidden Sith planet of Exegol, which viewers saw for the first time in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Disney CEO Bob Iger has been clear in the past about making small screen development for the Star Wars franchise a priority, so this could be the next big title to hit Disney Plus.
