There has been hype around the second season of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus ever since the first one ended, and in some fairly unusual cast news, there have been reports that WWE star Sasha Banks has filmed some scenes.
Although not confirmed by Disney or Lucasfilm, various rumours circulating online – including a line from the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast – reveal that she will be starring in the American space Western series.
There are no details currently for the character she has been cast as, although some expect she will be an antagonist for former Shocktrooper Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano.
Production on The Mandalorian’s second season has been underway since November 2019, and Banks hasn’t been seen on WWE since January 3.
While the reason for her absence is supposedly an ankle injury, cynics are speculating that the real reason is because she has been filming for the Star Wars series.
Banks is a four time RAW Women’s champion, as well as Snoop Dogg’s cousin. The Mandalorian is back on Disney Plus with new episodes from October 2020.
