Fans of Heartland have been excited to discover that the latest season of the family drama has officially begun filming for CBC.

According to a press release from CBC, filming began in Alberta on the week of September 9, 2020. The season is set to be unveiled in winter 2021 on CBC.

There will be ten episodes, each comprising one hour, as the show follows Amy Fleming and her family with their daily lives running a horse ranch.

The filming locations include Longview, Calgary, High River and Millarville in Alberta, Canada, and the series is based on the books by Lauren Brooke.
