Kim and Kourtney travelled to Armenia in the second episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, season 18. The trip was intended to provide their children with a knowledge of their heritage, as the Kardashians’ father was Armenian.
Armenia is located in Western Asia, in the Caucasus region in between Asia and Europe. Turkey is to the west and Georgia is in the north.
Kim shared a Tweet back in October 2019 when she and her children were baptised at Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in Vagharshapat, Armenia.
The cathedral was the first to be built in ancient Armenia according to most scholars, and many consider it to be the oldest cathedral in the world.
During the trip, Kim and Kourtney had dinner with the Prime Minister, where the Armenian Genocide was discussed.
Also known as the Armenian Holocaust, the genocide took place during and after World War I. 1.5 million ethnic Armenians were mass murdered and expelled from the region.
