The Young and the Restless has been running on CBS for a huge 46 seasons. The massively popular daytime drama is set in the fictional location of Genoa City and follows the lives of its inhabitants.

One character in the show is Adam Newman. He’s the son of Hope Wilson and Victor Newman and was first introduced way back in 1995. He’s been played by a variety of actors in his time on the show.

In the story, Adam left Genoa City when he was just 2 years old. Chris Engen first played him as an adult in 2008, but eventually left in 2009 due to dissatisfaction with his character’s storyline.

From 2009 to 2014, Michael Muhney took over the role – and was eventually replaced by Justin Hartley, who held the role until 2016.

Mark Grossman currently portrays Adam, and has done since 2019.

Child actors also played Adam on the show from 1995 to 2002.
