There have been plenty of exciting MCU movies and TV shows in recent months, and the latest is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. However, there has been some confusion about how to stream the hotly anticipated title.
Previously, those wanting to watch titles such as Black Widow were able to do so on streaming service Disney+ with the Premier Access service. Unfortunately, Shang-Chi will not be a movie with the same streaming options available.
This is because Disney has decided to experiment with a return to theater-only releases, as was the case before the pandemic. Therefore, the movie will likely be released in theaters in October in the traditional manner we all recognise.
The streamer will be comparing Shang-Chi’s performance at the box office with its other recent movies, Black Widow and Jungle Cruise, which were offered to streamers both in theaters and on Premier Access at the same time.
If the movie doesn’t do well in theaters, due to lingering health fears regarding COVID-19, it could be the case that Disney places this title on Premier Access. However, right now it looks like the movie will be coming out without the $30 price tag to access it.
