Hilary Duff has dropped a hint that the Lizzie McGuire reboot could be pulled from popular streaming service Disney+ due to the nature of its content.
Recently, it was announced that the TV spin-off of the movie Love, Victor would be moved to Hulu due to not fitting the ‘family friendly’ nature of the platform’s content library.
Hilary has taken to social media with a screenshot of an article about Love, Simon being pulled, captioning it ‘Sounds familiar.’
Fans have been left wondering about what this means for the future of the series, but UK fans in particular have several disappointments relating to Disney+ at present.
Not only do they not currently have access to Hulu, where the series would supposedly make its debut, The Simpsons will also not be available on Disney+ when it makes its debut there at the end of March.
Hilary’s post comes after Lizzie McGuire creator Terri Minsky decided to quit the show after just two episodes.
