Upcoming Disney Plus original TV show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has resumed production, which means we’re able to catch more sneak peaks from the set.
After footage showing what appears to be a fight scene hit Twitter, we’ve now got a look at the return of a familiar character via Just Jared.
Batroc the Leaper (Georges St-Pierre) was last seen in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but in a new batch of pictures from the set of the TV show we can see he seems to be making a reappearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
We don’t know yet what kind of role he’ll play in the plot, but it’ll likely be in a villainous capacity considering his history in the comics and his part in The Winter Soldier. He’s also in his signature purple and yellow colors, reminiscent of his suit in the comics.
There are also plenty of pictures of Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Desmond Chiam as an unknown character.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their roles as titular characters Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes respectively, as well as Daniel Brühl returning as Baron Zemo.
We don’t yet have a confirmed release date for the series, but it’ll probably premiere on Disney Plus late this year or early next year.
The only way to check it out will be with a Disney Plus subscription, which you can use now to stream the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe – as well as access brand new blockbuster Mulan.
