Overview

It’ll be hard to find a user of American pay TV who has not at least heard of Bravo! More than likely, you have watched many shows over the years delivered by this popular brand.

Bravo was launched in 1980 and is owned by Comcast. The channel has seen some pretty big changes in its programming selections. It originally focused on programs related to fine arts and film. However, nowadays it is known for broadcasting various reality TV shows as well as offering content aimed at the LGBTQ community. Bravo produces original content, as well as showcasing a mix of acquired shows and mainstream feature films. As of January 2016, around 89,824,000 American households watch Bravo.

Channel Guide

Bravo tries to target women aged between 25 and 54 with its reality television blocks and, as mentioned, also aims to provide shows for the LGBTQ community. According to the Cable Television Advertising Bureau, Bravo’s demographic is people between 18-54 (a figure based on the whole channel’s output as opposed to just one genre, such as reality TV).

Bravo has indeed shifted somewhat with its content style over the years. This is not necessarily a bad thing; it just comes down to the type of shows you enjoy. And Bravo has done well to maintain a substantial audience at a time when there are more channel choices and formats than ever before!

As mentioned, Bravo does have an emphasis on reality shows these days. Many people enjoy top shows such as Inside the Actor’s Studio and Top Chef. A lot of the viewer base also likes to receive their fix of The Real Housewives, and if you are one of those people, this is the channel for you! Bravo also airs some classic NBC reruns for those who want to take a trip down memory lane (NBC is a parent company of the network). It’s nice to see these mixed in with the fresh offerings.

The good news is that, if you are wanting to stream Bravo, you will not be short on options. Take a look below to discover where the Bravo channel can be found and the benefits that each streaming service offers to its users.
