Disney’s latest blockbuster, Mulan, is set to hit Disney Plus this Friday (September 4th). The film was originally intended for theatrical release, but after repeated delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, it will now launch exclusively on Disney Plus – apart from markets without access to the streamer, which will still get a theatrical release.
However, to view the film, you need Premier Access – and we’re here to explain what this is and how to unlock this aspect of the streamer.
Premier Access is essentially a premium tier of Disney Plus, which allows you to purchase Mulan for $29.99 – and worldwide for around $26. This is a permanent purchase, not a rental, so you’ll be able to keep it as part of your Disney Plus library for as long as you have a subscription to the streamer.
Mulan has its own dedicated preview page on Disney Plus now, and this is where you’ll be able to purchase the movie on Friday. You’ll have exclusive access before Disney Plus eventually streams the movie for no additional charge – though we don’t yet know when that will happen.
For now, Premium Access is the only way to watch Mulan in the US. You’ll also need a Disney Plus subscription, which will also allow you to stream Disney’s massive entertainment library – including the Star Wars saga, Marvel Cinematic Universe, classic movies like Toy Story and recent releases like Frozen 2.
