There has been plenty of speculation about the new Batwoman, as the new episodes for season 2 begin airing today – Sunday January 17, 2021.
Back in May 2020, it was revealed that Ruby Rose would not be returning in her role for the second season – and the reason for her exit was not explicitly stated.
At the time, it was rumored that Sonya Deville – a familiar name for those into WWE – would be taking over as the Batwoman replacement.
However, now we know that Javicia Leslie is the new Batwoman. Furthermore, Batwoman will continue being lesbian – and Leslie herself is bisexual.
Batwoman as a series features Batwoman/Katy Kane as an out lesbian focusing on saving Gotham city in the aftermath of Batman/Bruce Wayne (also known as her cousin) disappearing.
Batwoman season 2 begins airing on January 17 on The CW, airing from 8pm. The CW can be streamed on Hulu and fuboTV.
