Netflix has released a new trailer for its upcoming teen drama Outer Banks. The title has been described as having ‘strong Goonies vibes’ due to its central focus being a treasure hunt for various riches.
The tone of the tale is ‘coming of age’. It sees a group of teens living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina impacted by a hurricane shutting off the power for the entire summer.
The events which then take place are said to ‘force the friends to make life-altering decisions’. The leader of the group has their father go missing, and there is a tense conflict between these teens and their rivals.
Viewers can also expect ‘forbidden romances’ and ‘a high stakes treasure hunt’, so there is something for everyone. The series will come to the platform on April 15th and comprise 10 hour-long episodes.
The cast includes Chase Stokes, Drew Starkey, Charles Esten, Austin North, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss and Rudy Pankow.
