HBO Max is a relatively new streamer, but it’s already packed with plenty of HBO and Warner Bros. content.
This month brings a lot of new films and TV shows to the streamer – as well as a number of titles departing.
New content arriving this October includes The Undoing, The Matrix trilogy and It: Chapter Two.
As for the titles leaving this week, fortunately there’s only two – although some might be surprised to see a huge name on the list.

- Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
One of the instalments in the Fantastic Beasts series departing the streamer isn’t ideal for HBO Max, as the Harry Potter series is one of Warner Bros.’ biggest franchises.
All 8 Harry Potter films left HBO Max in August. They’re headed to Peacock this month due to a deal struck in 2016 which gave NBCUniversal digital and TV rights over the entire Harry Potter franchise – including the Fantastic Beasts films.
There’s still tons of top content to enjoy on HBO Max, however, including films from the DC cinematic universe like Shazam! and Birds of Prey.
