There is a new Star Trek spinoff series coming to CBS All Access, and it’s called Strange New Worlds.
The title focuses on Captain Christopher Pike and his time leading the USS Enterprise. It is set in the years before he takes over.
Anson Mount is set to play Pike, Rebecca Romijn is Number One and Ethan Peck is taking on the role of Science Officer Spock.
Star Trek franchise executive producer Alex Kurtzman said: ‘These iconic characters have a deep history in ‘Star Trek’ canon, yet so much of their stories have yet to be told.’
Head of programming at CBS All Access, Julie McNamara, said: ‘This new series will be a perfect complement to the franchise, bringing a whole new perspective and series of adventures to ‘Star Trek.’’
