Good news for fans of hit TV series Lucifer – season 5 lands on Netflix today (August 21st).
The first 8 episodes premiere today, while the next set of 8 episodes are expected sometime in late 2020 or early 2021.
This season will see Lucifer (Tom Ellis) have his life on earth thrown into disarray by the arrival of his twin brother, archangel Michael (also Tom Ellis).
We’ll be treated to a black and white episode in the style of old film noir detective stories this season as well.
When asked in a Q&A which episode of the new season is ‘the biggest gamble in terms of being able to realize exactly what you wanted for season 5A’, one of the showrunners, Joe Henderson, hinted that it is the second episode, saying: ‘we’ll leave it at that, you’ll see why’. Showrunner Ildy Modrovich also mentioned the noir episode, calling it ‘pretty crazy’.
