Call Me Kat is one of the newest sitcoms to air in the US, with Fox being the network to host the show starring Mayim Bialik.
The show focuses on a single woman called Kat, who is 39 years old and works as a professor at the University of Louisville.
However, she leaves her job to open a cat cafe with the money her parents had set aside for her wedding, ‘struggling every day against her mother’.
The show is largely based on Miranda, a British sitcom which stars Miranda Hart. Indeed, Hart is an executive producer on the show.
Miranda focuses on a tall woman who finds social situations difficult and is a source of perpetual disappointment to her mother.
