Netflix is working on a new mobile-only plan which would cost significantly less per month.
Four countries are receiving the trial, which would only work out to roughly $3 per month. However, it is only available in India, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines at present.
Being subscribed to this plan means the service won’t work on a desktop browser or smart television.
The service is currently being trialled with emerging markets only – with countries who rely on mobile phones ahead of laptops or smart televisions.
However, the plan could come to Western markets if it proves successful.
