As the pandemic rumbles on, many of us have been worried that 2021 could see new TV series and movie releases drying up.
However, there’s at least one streaming service which has not applied this rule – and that’s Netflix.
The streaming giant has revealed that 70 original films will be released on its platform over the course of 2021.
What’s more, stars appearing in the titles include big names such as Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, Sandra Bullock, Leonardo DiCaprio, Idris Elba, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Garner, Zendaya and more.
The action films coming out are: Kate, Awake, Army of the Dead, Outside The Wire, Red Notice, Sweet Girl.
As for horror, upcoming titles are: No One Gets Out Alive, Fear Street Trilogy, There’s Someone Inside Your House, Things Heard And Seen.
Those who enjoy thrillers can enjoy O2, Night Teeth, Blood Red Sky, Beckett, The Swarm, The Woman in the Window, Escape from Spiderhead, Munich and Intrusion.
For romance fans, there’s Kissing Booth 3, Love Hard, A Castle For Christmas, The Last Letter From Your Lover, The Princess Switch 3, Fuimos Canciones, To All The Boys: Always and Forever and an untitled rom-com with Alicia Keys.
Drama titles include: The Guilty, The Hand of God, The Dig, The White Tiger, The Starling, Beauty, Bruised, Concrete Cowboy, Blonde, Fever Dream, Monster, Malcolm and Marie, Penguin Bloom and more.
In the comedy department there’s Afterlife of the Party, Don’t Look Up, I Care A Lot, Moxie, The Last Mercenary, Thunder Force and plenty of others coming up.
Family movies include Finding Ohana, Back to the Outback, A Boy Called Christmas, A Winter’s Tale from Shaun The Sheep, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, YES DAY, Skater Girl, Robin Robin, Loud House, Nightbooks and Wish Dragon.
