There are reports coming in that Disney+ subscribers are being hacked, with account holders reporting strange names and additional profiles being set up.

Subscribers are having issues logging into their accounts since its launch, and ZD Net has claimed that the reason is more sinister than tech problems.

It is said that hackers are using usernames and passwords stolen from other sites to gain access to various streaming services and seeing if they also work on Disney+.

Hackers are also sending fraudulent messages via email to warn subscribers that their accounts have been locked or their credit card details need updating.

The phishing scam involves users clicking on a link which will record usernames and passwords, or payment card information.
