In a huge move for the streaming mogul, Netflix has made the decision to scrap its 30 day trial for new subscribers.
The move means that nobody will be able to try out the service before they sign up for a paid subscription.
Those with existing free trials will be able to continue them, but new members will instead have to make do with ‘other marketing promotions in the future’.
The move, which is taking place in at least the UK, will result in immediate charges when a new account is made if a subscriber wants to watch the platform’s content.
A Netflix spokesman said: ‘We’re looking at different marketing promotions in the UK to attract new members and give them a great Netflix experience.’
